Downtown Studio FIT is a unique Albany-based Fitness and Wellness Studio which provides a wide variety of daily group exercise classes along with the opportunity for individualized training and nutrition coaching services, at an affordable rate!
Our Group Ex classes range from low to high intensity. All formats can be modified for all fitness levels. The smaller studio size provides an opportunity for more personalized instruction. This is a benefit and will help instructors work with clients form and weight selection which will minimize the risk of injury.
Our individualized Fitness Coaching program provides education and support to our clients in hopes to help them successfully meet and maintain their personal goals. With our help, clients will then posses the skills and knowledge to independently maintain their healthy lifestyle.

If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The core, consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, low back, and hips, is often called the "powerhouse" and is thought to be the key to a person's stability. Pilates' system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced or to any other level, and also in terms of the instructor and practitioner's specific goals and/or limitations. Intensity can be increased over time as the body adapts itself to the exercises.

Barre Fusion is designed to give students of all fitness levels a challenging total body workout. By combining aspects of yoga, Pilates, barre fitness and classic strength training, Barre Fusion incorporates strength, endurance and flexibility into one invigorating workout. Barre Fusion will help you achieve a balanced body and a quiet mind in less than an hour! All classes are the same level as the technique was designed to work for people at all points of their fitness journey. Weights are occasionally used but not required. Maximum of 2lb - 3lb weights is recommended.
Yoga is for everyBODY regardless of shape, size or flexibility. It is a class which focuses on uniting mind, body and spirit by focusing on the breath and linking it with movement. Classes usually include a warm up, some flow, strength and balance, deeper stretches, breathing techniques and a brief meditation at the end. Classes will vary depending on the instructor and will be modified to meet students’ needs.

Boot Camp weight loss programs provide dynamic, efficient workouts. They use a wide range of exercise types that develop both muscular and cardiovascular fitness, and promote safe and effective weight loss. In addition, individuals that participate in a Boot Camp weight loss program find that the atmosphere and variety of exercise types provide motivation and combat boredom at the same time. This approach allows individuals to become more mentally, physically and energetically involved in the workoutsand increases their probability of continuing with their workouts over the long run.
With a high-intensity level and a broad range of movements, FIT Strength will sculpt your figure and improve your balance, coordination, endurance and agility. FIT Strength incorporates strength training, core synergistics, balance techniques, agility training and cardiovascular interval training into one workout.
